PRISM Engineering, first established in the Year 2000

by Grant Johnson, TE.   starting in Sacramento, CA region,
expanding into central California, Fresno, CA region.  

Mr. Johnson also spent 2.5 years in mainland China as a professional engineer in
transportation and hsr (continues below).
EXPERIENCE SUMMARY
PRISM Engineering, first established in the Year 2000 by Grant Johnson, TE, started in SACRAMENTO, CA and expanded into the central California, FRESNO, CA region.  In addition, Mr. Johnson spent 2.5 years in mainland China teaching western ways of Traffic Engineering to Chinese Engineers, and learning state of the art Transportation Engineering in ChongQing, SiChuan Province in China 重庆四川省中国 .  For the duration in China he and his family lived an "auto-less" lifestyle and walked every day, or rode electric scooters.  He also served as Chief Site Engineer over High Speed Rail construction for a 70km section of new installation from Beijing to Shenyang in DongBei northern China北京沈阳高铁在东北中国🇨🇳.

Having seen the best and worst of traffic in terms of congestion, and how it threatens pedestrian travel, the primary focus of PRISM Engineering now is safety.  PRISM Engineering seeks solutions that will help reduce the accident and fatality situation associated with human driven vehicle transportation, especially as it relates to pedestrian and bicycle traffic.  Autonomous Vehicles are a solution, but this solution will also require extensive modifications to cities and counties in order to realize the benefit.  Eventually transportation systems will require a renewed cooperation between states or provinces in countries all around the globe to help separate AV pathways from pedestrian and bicycle traffic, to truly achieve a goal of eliminating fatalities associated with vehicle traffic.  Cities will need to be transformed to accommodate the benefits of AV merging with CV (connected vehicles), so that safety can be realized.  PRISM Engineering has as a focus, pedestrian safety as well as bike safety, as these active transportation human activities will remain in our world even as AV replaces human driven vehicles in the near future.
